Netflix in hot water over 'big bang theory' episode aired 15 years ago
(Web Desk) - Indian political analyst Mithun Vijay Kumar has issued a legal notice to streaming giant Netflix over a 15-year-old episode of The Big Bang Theory that allegedly insulted Indian actress Madhuri Dixit.
In the episode titled ‘The Bad Fish Paradigm,’ Sheldon Cooper, played by Jim Parson, compares Dixit unfavorably to Aishwarya Rai, calling her a “poor man’s Madhuri Dixit”.

Raj Koothrapalli, played by Kunal Nayyar, responds by calling Dixit a “leprous prostitute”. Kumar has demanded that the episode be removed from Netflix’s library, calling it offensive and defamatory.
In his statement, Kumar argues that streaming services must prevent such content from being aired on their platforms and that they have a responsibility to ensure that the content they offer is respectful, inclusive, and free from harmful stereotypes.
